Your use of the Site — including accessing any page, submitting text to the plagiarism checker, or clicking any link — constitutes acceptance of these terms in full. 2. Description of Service

SafeAssign.net provides a free, web-based similarity checking tool that allows users to paste text and receive an estimated similarity score and Originality Report preview. The service is designed to help students identify potentially flagged passages before submitting work to Blackboard. The tool is provided on an as-is basis for informational purposes only.

The Site also contains links to third-party affiliate pages (including /full-report/) that provide additional services under separate terms. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of those third-party sites.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SafeAssign.net only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Submit text through the checker for the purpose of facilitating academic fraud, contract cheating, or any form of academic misconduct
• Upload or submit content that infringes the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party without authorisation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or otherwise interfere with the Site’s infrastructure or functionality
• Use automated bots, crawlers, or scripts to access or extract data from the Site
• Use the Site to transmit malware, spam, or any harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems
• Represent our tool’s output as an official SafeAssign, Blackboard, or institutional report

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for any user who violates these acceptable use provisions.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on SafeAssign.net — including but not limited to text, design, graphics, code, and branding — is the property of SafeAssign.net and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without prior written permission.

Text you submit through the plagiarism checker remains your own. We do not claim any ownership over content you paste into the tool. As stated in our Privacy Policy, submitted text is processed in memory only and is not stored, indexed, or used for any purpose other than generating your report.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

SafeAssign.net is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We make no representations or warranties regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of similarity scores or Originality Report previews
• The fitness of the service for any particular purpose, including compliance with any institution’s academic integrity policy
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site
• The results of our tool matching or predicting the results of an official SafeAssign report within Blackboard

Our similarity scores are estimates based on our comparison methodology. They are not a guarantee of any particular outcome when you submit your paper through Blackboard or any other platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SafeAssign.net, its operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to:

• Academic penalties, grade reductions, or disciplinary actions resulting from the submission of work to any institution
• Reliance on our similarity score or report preview as a substitute for official institutional review
• Loss of data, business interruption, or any other loss arising from use of or inability to use the Site

Your use of SafeAssign.net is at your own risk. Our tool is intended to assist your own review process — it does not replace your responsibility to ensure your work complies with your institution’s academic integrity requirements.

SafeAssign.net contains links to third-party websites, including affiliate partner pages reachable via /full-report/ and similar URLs. These third-party sites are independent of SafeAssign.net and operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies. These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware, USA.
